Carrick Institute of Education holds a orientation program that is compulsary for all students prior to commencement of their course. The orientation program is designed to register students, introduce students to key personnel, familiarise them with the premises and the institute’s procedures as well as to welcome them.

At orientation students are expected to read and understand the Student Enrolment Agreement.

English

English language students should report to the reception desk at their campus at 8.30am on their first day of enrolment.

Vocational

Vocational Students should refer to the table below for details on their compulsory orientation session.

Attendance at the orientation session is compulsory. You will be required to sign your Enrolment Agreement and receive your timetable and student identification card.

You will be required to purchase your text books and course equipment as required before your first class.
Please allow the following amounts:

• Text books: Approx A$500 per year
• Hairdressing equipment: Approx A$1500
• Cookery equipment, uniform and footwear: Approx A$450
• Patisserie equipment, uniform and footwear: Approx A$700

If you are unable to attend the orientation session please advise the institute as soon as possible.
