Local Testimonials

My experience at Carrick Institute of Education has been a great one. All students have bonded with ease which helps create a better learning environment. All my tourism classes have been fun and full of energy. Another thing that has made learning easier at the Institute is having teachers that are passionate about what they teach and know the topics really well.
Carrick Institute of Education also organises some great events like a Pizza Day which was formed to raise money for charity. All students can participate in these events which help students to interact. The institute also has many international students so these events are a great way for local and international students to meet and interact.
In general, Carrick Institute of Education has been great and I look forward to completing my Advanced Diploma of Tourism Management and hopefully getting my dream job in the airline industry.
Sheena Henderson

Hello! My name is Sheena and I am studying Commercial Cookery. I currently have two quite different jobs - I am working in retail and also as a waitress in a busy seafood restaurant.
I plan to go to England to work and Carrick Recruitment and Training Services has helped me a lot with planning and given me ideas relating to working in England. They have helped me with visa information and advised me where to look for a job. I recommend their friendly and helpful service to all students looking to find employment.

After V.C.E. my first choice for further studies was Carrick Institute of Education and since day one I felt welcome. Since I have been here I have acquired a lot of wisdom and knowledge from my three wonderful teachers. Their motivation and skills have prompted me to achieve great results.
In class I have made some friends which will last a lifetime. We work together in a team and share the same goals in life. I feel honoured to have been accepted to study at Carrick Institute of Education because it has provided me with some hands on experience.
I look forward to completing my Advanced Diploma in Tourism Management and starting a career in Travel. I highly recommend Carrick Institute of Education to future students.

Chris Gergoriou

Hi everyone! My name is Chris and I have completed an Advanced Diploma of Business (Marketing) at Carrick Institute of Education. The school appealed to me for a variety of reasons, such as the number of different commencement dates and also the classes contained approximately 15 students rather than a few hundred like some of the universities available in Australia. This is a huge advantage at Carrick Institute of Education because it allows greater flexibility in the way units are delivered and assessed. The teachers were always willing to help me if I had a question that needed to be answered, or even if I needed advice on my career. All the staff have a wealth of experience, which we students found very helpful - especially when it came to our assignments.
Thanks to Carrick Institute of Education I was given the opportunity to do work experience in a 4 star hotel in Beijing, China. The hotel was great and gave me the opportunity to work in every department, from Food and Beverage to Front Desk and even in Reservations and Sales. By doing this I now understand the working environment, culture, processes and procedures of a highly successful Hotel. The opportunity is really a dream because it gave me the chance to travel to a foreign country and to experience new things.
Todd Aldred

My name is Todd Aldred and I grew up in the Northern Territory. I enrolled at Carrick Institute of Education as I have ambitions to own my own restaurant. Whilst studying the Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management I have learnt crucial skills in Hospitality and also fundamental knowledge in management. My teachers have always gone beyond their call of duty to ensure all the students have the best opportunities to excel in their chosen industry. Many of them organise real work experience with renowned companies.
Due to my time at Carrick Institute of Education I have reached one of my goals of becoming a restaurant manager and I am one step closer to owning my own. Thanks Carrick Institute of Education!
