For more than twenty years Carrick Institute of Education has worked closely with industry, catering to all sectors through our divisions of training, recruitment and career development.
CRTS conncets employers with suitable students and graduates, ensuring only the highest calibre of applicants are recommended for positions.
Carrick Recruitment and Training Services’ objective is to provide an employer-focused recruitment service which meets the recruitment needs of employers and provides the opportunity for eligible students and graduates to gain employment through access to a large number of diverse vacancies.
Services for employers
- Provide free analysis of the training needs of your organisation
- Flexible delivery onsite or at one of our well equipped facilities Accredited and individual custom programs
- Screen and refer suitable students and graduates to employers
- Ensure our consultants are available to visit your premises at your request
- Arrange interviews on behalf of employers. Employers can contact us with available interview times, which we then confirm with the student or graduate
Carrick Recruitment and Training Services assistance is a no obligation, free service offered to our industry partners.

Carrick Recruitment and Training Services offers exciting job opportunities and assistance with all areas regarding employment for students.
This includes:
- Pre-placement training

- Overseas work experience and work placement

- Employment-based seminars.
Carrick Recruitment and Training Services are available for all students undertaking vocational courses who wish to gain valuable work experience in their chosen industry while they study. Australian residents can also receive full time employment assistance, however international students with permission to work, may only work up to 20 hours per week.
Resume development
Your resume should be as individual as you are. Your resume over the years will be an ever evolving document that develops with your education and experience.
Tips:
- Try to keep your resume as short but informative as possible
- Avoid paragraphs - instead use dot points
- Be sure to include details of all referees
- Make your resume clear and concise
- Do not oversimplify or generalise your duties or achievements
- Put your resume into a clear and easy to follow format
- Do not include information that cannot be supported or verified
- Prioritise the most important information

- Your personal information (Please note you do not have to include information that is considered discriminatory such as date of birth, marital status, race or religion. Employers also do not expect a photo.
