At the end of last semester, Stage 3 Community Welfare Work (CWW) students held a multicultural lunch and fundraiser for the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre (ASRC), a well respected asylum seeker aid, health and advocacy organisation. The students organised the entire event as part of their ‘Develop and Implement a Community Development Strategy’ unit. Students and teachers from 310 King Street campus took part and all the funds raised from the lunch, jelly bean competition and auction went straight to the ASRC. Many thanks to everyone who donated all the food, prizes and items for auction on the day. It was a happy occasion with lots of eating, dancing and socialising. Congratulations to the CWW students on a wonderful job.
