Industrial Relations
Industrial Relations representative Toni Minovski and his colleagues will be hosting a seminar to help students make more informed decisions about their workplace arrangements. This seminar will assist students with any questions regarding their legal rights when they are offered a job. Job Placement Officers have encountered many cases in which students have been exploited so students are recommended to take up this great opportunity to gain further understanding about their workplace rights.
Melbourne’s recruitment division has had some great success stories this month including the placement of several Carrick students at Tiffins. Tiffins is run by two brothers who deliver authentic home-cooked Indian food in tiffins (temperature-controlled vertical lunch boxes) to businesses and residences around Melbourne’s CBD. They are even delivered in true Mumbai style - on tricycles! Carrick students have been placed as cooks and kitchen hands.
